School Age Care
Tykes and Tots is pleased to offer before and after-school programming to students attending St. Lorenzo School, Ernest Lindner School, and St. George School.
During the February, Easter, and Summer school breaks, we offer full-day care programs. We also offer a Forest School Summer Camp program. These programs are open to all school-age children.
Tykes and Tots follows the principles of play and exploration as set out by the Ministry of Education.

Instead, please email hrose@tykesntots.ca.
Forest School Summer Camps
We are excited to announce that registration is now open for our Forest School summer camp program. This program is separate from our regular school age program out of the soccer centre. We aim to be fully outdoors, weather and air quality permitting.
This year we will be exploring the urban forests of James Anderson Park in Eastview. This is due to the city’s plan to renovate the Robert Hunter West Park. If the job is completed before camp begins, we may relocate to that park.
Every week will include true play with deep and uninterrupted engagement in the activity of one’s own choice while exploring traditional Forest School practices and covering the 8 areas of risky play. The 8 areas are great heights, great speed, tool use, play near dangerous elements, rough and tumble play, disappearing, play with impact, and vicarious play. Each week, we will focus on a specific topic to create a better connection to the space that we live, play and grow on. All sessions are 8-4:30 pm Monday to Friday. If you need an earlier drop off or later pick up please email me at dskuce@tykesntots.ca. Please note, we may or may not be able to accommodate your care needs.
